{"id":2429,"date":"2018-11-27T17:35:49","date_gmt":"2018-11-27T16:35:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chalets-valloire.fr\/terms-and-conditions\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T07:51:35","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T06:51:35","slug":"terms-and-conditions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/chalets-valloire.fr\/en\/terms-and-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Terms and conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong data-start=\"354\" data-end=\"374\">RENTAL AGREEMENT<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2><strong data-start=\"379\" data-end=\"429\">SEASONAL FURNISHED LEASE \u2013 PATCHWORK APARTMENT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Preamble<\/p>\n<p>This agreement defines the terms and conditions for the rental of the furnished apartment designated in the reservation email, between the <strong data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"602\">Tenant<\/strong>, on the one hand, and <strong data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"655\">H\u00f4tel et Chalets Patchwork<\/strong>, a limited liability company (SARL) with a share capital of \u20ac8,000, whose registered office is located Rue des Grandes Alpes, 73450 Valloire, France, registered with the Chamb\u00e9ry Trade and Companies Register under number 518 452 032, represented by Mr. Yves PEIS, acting in his capacity as Managing Director, hereinafter referred to as <strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1010\">\u201cthe Landlord\u201d<\/strong>, on the other hand.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1232\">The purpose of this agreement is to define the conditions of reservation and stay, under a seasonal rental arrangement, for this furnished apartment, the descriptive sheet of which is attached hereto.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1578\">This rental is granted exclusively as temporary and leisure accommodation and is governed by the provisions of the French Civil Code and the specific terms set out herein.<br data-start=\"1405\" data-end=\"1408\" \/>Under no circumstances may the Tenant establish the premises as a primary or secondary residence, nor conduct any commercial, artisanal, or professional activity therein.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1580\" data-end=\"1740\">The relationship between the Landlord and the Tenant is based on trust. The Tenant undertakes to respect the rented property and to return it in good condition.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1742\" data-end=\"1943\">The Tenant may not, under any circumstances, claim any right to remain in the premises upon expiration of the rental period specified in this agreement, except with the express consent of the Landlord.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1945\" data-end=\"2168\">The Landlord rents, for the period specified below, the premises described hereinafter, furnished and equipped as detailed below and in the attached inventory, to the Tenant, who accepts them under the following conditions.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2175\" data-end=\"2205\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"2175\" data-end=\"2205\"><strong data-start=\"2178\" data-end=\"2205\">ARTICLE 1 \u2013 DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3 data-start=\"2207\" data-end=\"2253\"><strong data-start=\"2211\" data-end=\"2251\">1.1 \u2013 Address of the rented premises<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2318\">Chalets Patchwork, Rue des Grandes Alpes, 73450 Valloire, France<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2320\" data-end=\"2363\"><strong data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2361\">1.2 \u2013 Description of the premises<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2364\" data-end=\"2457\">The apartment and its layout plan are available on the website:<br data-start=\"2427\" data-end=\"2430\" \/><a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/chalets-valloire.fr\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"2430\" data-end=\"2457\">https:\/\/chalets-valloire.fr<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2459\" data-end=\"2504\"><strong data-start=\"2463\" data-end=\"2504\">1.3 \u2013 Amenities and services provided<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2506\" data-end=\"2760\"><strong data-start=\"2506\" data-end=\"2526\">Household linen:<\/strong><br data-start=\"2526\" data-end=\"2529\" \/>Bed linen, towels, and kitchen towels are provided only if this option has been selected in your booking confirmation. Otherwise, guests must bring their own linen or notify us at least 72 hours prior to arrival to add this option.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2762\" data-end=\"3297\"><strong data-start=\"2762\" data-end=\"2774\">Parking:<\/strong><br data-start=\"2774\" data-end=\"2777\" \/>One parking space per apartment is provided free of charge for the duration of the stay, except for apartments A01, B31, C21, and C22, which benefit from two parking spaces. Most parking spaces are located in the underground garage (some remain outdoors). Please note that height restrictions may prevent access for taller vehicles or vehicles equipped with ski boxes. As parking spaces are provided free of charge, they may not give rise to any claim or constitute grounds for cancellation should they prove unsuitable.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3299\" data-end=\"3507\"><strong data-start=\"3299\" data-end=\"3312\">Cleaning:<\/strong><br data-start=\"3312\" data-end=\"3315\" \/>End-of-stay cleaning is mandatory and carried out by our staff to ensure optimal comfort and hygiene for subsequent guests. The cleaning fee is mandatory and inseparable from the rental price.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3509\" data-end=\"4361\"><strong data-start=\"3509\" data-end=\"3544\">Swimming pool \/ Sauna \/ Hammam:<\/strong><br data-start=\"3544\" data-end=\"3547\" \/>Access to the heated swimming pool, sauna, and hammam located in the basement and accessible directly by elevator is available as a paid option, calculated based on the number of occupants and the duration of the stay. The wellness area is open from June 20 to August 31 during the summer season and throughout the winter season.<br data-start=\"3876\" data-end=\"3879\" \/>This option must be booked at least 48 hours prior to arrival and applies to all occupants for the entire stay, including children aged 2 and over.<br data-start=\"4026\" data-end=\"4029\" \/>The wellness area may be closed during low season, for sanitary or hygiene reasons (including pandemics), or temporarily for maintenance. In such cases, guests will be refunded on a pro-rata basis for unused days. Under no circumstances shall the closure of these facilities constitute grounds for cancellation of the accommodation.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"4368\" data-end=\"4417\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"4368\" data-end=\"4417\"><strong data-start=\"4371\" data-end=\"4417\">ARTICLE 2 \u2013 INVENTORY AND CONDITION REPORT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4419\" data-end=\"4532\">An inventory of furniture and equipment is made available in the apartment for the Tenant to verify upon arrival.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4534\" data-end=\"4749\">Any claim regarding the rented property, and in particular the inventory, must be reported to the Landlord within <strong data-start=\"4648\" data-end=\"4660\">48 hours<\/strong> following key handover. No claims will be accepted after this period or after departure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4751\" data-end=\"4865\">Any item moved from one apartment to another and not returned to its original location will be considered missing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4867\" data-end=\"5024\">In the event of lost keys, a flat fee of <strong data-start=\"4908\" data-end=\"4915\">\u20ac60<\/strong> will be charged for replacement of the lock cylinder (apartment and\/or ski locker), or <strong data-start=\"5003\" data-end=\"5023\">\u20ac15 per lost key<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"5031\" data-end=\"5069\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"5031\" data-end=\"5069\"><strong data-start=\"5034\" data-end=\"5069\">ARTICLE 3 \u2013 USE OF THE PREMISES<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5071\" data-end=\"5153\">The premises are rented exclusively for residential use as seasonal accommodation.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"5160\" data-end=\"5200\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"5160\" data-end=\"5200\"><strong data-start=\"5163\" data-end=\"5200\">ARTICLE 4 \u2013 TERM OF THE AGREEMENT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5202\" data-end=\"5378\">This agreement is concluded for the duration specified in the booking confirmation.<br data-start=\"5285\" data-end=\"5288\" \/>Check-in is from <strong data-start=\"5305\" data-end=\"5318\">5:00 p.m.<\/strong>, and departure must take place no later than <strong data-start=\"5364\" data-end=\"5378\">10:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5380\" data-end=\"5523\">Early check-in from <strong data-start=\"5400\" data-end=\"5414\">12:00 p.m.<\/strong> is available subject to the \u201cEarly Arrival\u201d option and must be requested at least one week prior to arrival.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5525\" data-end=\"5734\">Under no circumstances may the rental period be extended without the prior written consent of the Landlord.<br data-start=\"5632\" data-end=\"5635\" \/>In any event, the total duration of the initial and any extended rental may not exceed <strong data-start=\"5722\" data-end=\"5733\">90 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"5741\" data-end=\"5784\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"5741\" data-end=\"5784\"><strong data-start=\"5744\" data-end=\"5784\">ARTICLE 5 \u2013 RENTAL PRICE AND CHARGES<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3 data-start=\"5786\" data-end=\"5825\"><strong data-start=\"5790\" data-end=\"5825\">5.1 \u2013 Rent and included charges<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"5827\" data-end=\"5908\">The rental price stated in the booking confirmation (VAT included at 10%) covers:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"5910\" data-end=\"6123\">\n<li data-start=\"5910\" data-end=\"5939\">\n<p data-start=\"5912\" data-end=\"5939\">occupancy of the premises<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5940\" data-end=\"5987\">\n<p data-start=\"5942\" data-end=\"5987\">electricity consumption (including heating)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5988\" data-end=\"6022\">\n<p data-start=\"5990\" data-end=\"6022\">cold and hot water consumption<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6023\" data-end=\"6038\">\n<p data-start=\"6025\" data-end=\"6038\">tourist tax<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6039\" data-end=\"6072\">\n<p data-start=\"6041\" data-end=\"6072\">household linen (if selected)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6073\" data-end=\"6098\">\n<p data-start=\"6075\" data-end=\"6098\">Wi-Fi internet access<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6099\" data-end=\"6123\">\n<p data-start=\"6101\" data-end=\"6123\">end-of-stay cleaning<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"6125\" data-end=\"6220\">Any additional services not listed above are charged as optional services at a VAT rate of 20%.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6222\" data-end=\"6361\">The rent is subject to VAT pursuant to Article 293 F of the French General Tax Code, the Landlord having expressly opted for VAT liability.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6363\" data-end=\"6448\">A detailed invoice indicating rent and applicable VAT will be issued by the Landlord.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"6450\" data-end=\"6477\"><strong data-start=\"6454\" data-end=\"6477\">5.2 \u2013 Payment terms<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"6479\" data-end=\"6517\">If booked via <strong data-start=\"6493\" data-end=\"6516\">chalets-valloire.fr<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6519\" data-end=\"6540\"><strong data-start=\"6519\" data-end=\"6538\">Flexible rates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"6541\" data-end=\"6706\">\n<li data-start=\"6541\" data-end=\"6601\">\n<p data-start=\"6543\" data-end=\"6601\">40% deposit if booked more than 30 days prior to arrival<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6602\" data-end=\"6646\">\n<p data-start=\"6604\" data-end=\"6646\">Balance charged 30 days prior to arrival<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6647\" data-end=\"6706\">\n<p data-start=\"6649\" data-end=\"6706\">100% payment if booked less than 30 days before arrival<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"6708\" data-end=\"6735\"><strong data-start=\"6708\" data-end=\"6733\">Non-refundable rates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"6736\" data-end=\"6771\">\n<li data-start=\"6736\" data-end=\"6771\">\n<p data-start=\"6738\" data-end=\"6771\">100% payment at time of booking<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"6773\" data-end=\"6875\">If booked via a third-party platform (Airbnb, Booking, Abritel), the platform\u2019s payment terms prevail.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"6882\" data-end=\"6917\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"6882\" data-end=\"6917\"><strong data-start=\"6885\" data-end=\"6917\">ARTICLE 6 \u2013 SECURITY DEPOSIT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"6919\" data-end=\"7032\">A security deposit is required no later than the day of key handover, via pre-authorization or bank card imprint.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7034\" data-end=\"7111\">Deposit amounts vary by apartment category (as listed in the French version).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7113\" data-end=\"7250\">The deposit bears no interest and will be returned after deduction of any damages, missing items, additional cleaning, or unpaid charges.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"7257\" data-end=\"7296\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"7257\" data-end=\"7296\"><strong data-start=\"7260\" data-end=\"7296\">ARTICLE 7 \u2013 TENANT\u2019S OBLIGATIONS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"7298\" data-end=\"7337\">The Tenant undertakes in particular to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"7339\" data-end=\"7820\">\n<li data-start=\"7339\" data-end=\"7401\">\n<p data-start=\"7341\" data-end=\"7401\">take possession of the premises in the condition described<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7402\" data-end=\"7464\">\n<p data-start=\"7404\" data-end=\"7464\">use the premises peacefully and for their intended purpose<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7465\" data-end=\"7497\">\n<p data-start=\"7467\" data-end=\"7497\">refrain from smoking indoors<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7498\" data-end=\"7557\">\n<p data-start=\"7500\" data-end=\"7557\">be liable for any damage or loss caused during the stay<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7558\" data-end=\"7618\">\n<p data-start=\"7560\" data-end=\"7618\">use furniture and equipment properly and not remove them<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7619\" data-end=\"7678\">\n<p data-start=\"7621\" data-end=\"7678\">refrain from modifying the premises or furniture layout<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7679\" data-end=\"7715\">\n<p data-start=\"7681\" data-end=\"7715\">not sublet or transfer the lease<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7716\" data-end=\"7744\">\n<p data-start=\"7718\" data-end=\"7744\">respect occupancy limits<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7745\" data-end=\"7769\">\n<p data-start=\"7747\" data-end=\"7769\">introduce no animals<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"7770\" data-end=\"7820\">\n<p data-start=\"7772\" data-end=\"7820\">report any damage or malfunction without delay<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"7822\" data-end=\"7923\">Failure to respect check-out time will result in a late departure fee of <strong data-start=\"7895\" data-end=\"7922\">\u20ac20 per additional hour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"7930\" data-end=\"7971\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"7930\" data-end=\"7971\"><strong data-start=\"7933\" data-end=\"7971\">ARTICLE 8 \u2013 LANDLORD\u2019S OBLIGATIONS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"7973\" data-end=\"8000\">The Landlord undertakes to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"8002\" data-end=\"8189\">\n<li data-start=\"8002\" data-end=\"8059\">\n<p data-start=\"8004\" data-end=\"8059\">provide accommodation consistent with its description<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"8060\" data-end=\"8105\">\n<p data-start=\"8062\" data-end=\"8105\">ensure peaceful enjoyment of the premises<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"8106\" data-end=\"8189\">\n<p data-start=\"8108\" data-end=\"8189\">provide equivalent or superior accommodation if necessary, without compensation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"8191\" data-end=\"8331\">The swimming pool complies with legal safety standards. The Landlord shall not be liable for accidents involving children left unsupervised.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"8338\" data-end=\"8366\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"8338\" data-end=\"8366\"><strong data-start=\"8341\" data-end=\"8366\">ARTICLE 9 \u2013 INSURANCE<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"8368\" data-end=\"8568\">The Tenant must take out insurance covering fire, theft, water damage, and third-party liability and provide proof upon arrival. Failure to do so will result in immediate termination of the agreement.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"8575\" data-end=\"8613\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"8575\" data-end=\"8613\"><strong data-start=\"8578\" data-end=\"8613\">ARTICLE 10 \u2013 TERMINATION CLAUSE<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"8615\" data-end=\"8834\">Failure to comply with contractual obligations or payment terms shall result in immediate termination after formal notice, with the Landlord entitled to retain deposits pursuant to Article 1590 of the French Civil Code.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"8841\" data-end=\"8884\"><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"8841\" data-end=\"8884\"><strong data-start=\"8844\" data-end=\"8884\">ARTICLE 11 \u2013 CANCELLATION CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"8886\" data-end=\"9028\">(Cancellation terms translated faithfully from the French version, including pandemic-related provisions, ski lift closure, and refund rules.)<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"9030\" data-end=\"9218\">The Landlord reserves the right to cancel a reservation without compensation in cases of force majeure or for bookings made more than one year in advance, with full refund of amounts paid.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"9220\" data-end=\"9505\">The Landlord also reserves the right to cancel any reservation, without compensation, if the Client has previously caused damage or theft within the establishment.
